Pursuing a career in music and the entertainment industry is a difficult dream to make a reality. Very few who venture down this road become successful and even less make a living from it. None of this would stop Jason Pofahl from becoming a producer/engineer/artist out of Texas as a force to be reckoned with.

Jason Pofahl was born on October 29, 1983, in El Paso, Texas. His quest for music starts with his first drum set at age 8. Practicing and playing every day, he and his family quickly realized his natural talent as a musician. By his early teens, he had picked up the guitar/bass and became active in a church as their regular drummer. By 15, he had been recruited to play with well-known christian singer/song writer, Daniel Tighe. With Daniel, he would go on to play in front of large audiences at a variety of youth conferences and church retreats. In high school he met Marcel Rodriguez (now a member of The Mars Volta) and Marcos Smith (current member of Zechs Marquis) with whom he started writing and recording music that ultimately influenced and inspired his work to come.

Upon his graduation from Coronado High School Jason would be faced with the decision to either continue his music independently or move to finish his schooling. So he decided to incorporate both passions by going to school to become an audio engineer with the hope that this would broaden his horizons and invite new opportunities throughout his musical endeavors. He enrolled in the Recording Arts program at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida and began what would be the most intensive learning experience of his life. Here he would go through a program that would turn him into a skilled engineer and give him great insight into the mechanics of the entertainment industry. This opened his eyes up to new possibilities in his career and music. He then decided that he wanted to own his own studio where he could make money by working in the profession he has always had a passion for, while giving him the ability to compose and produce music that he has previously established as never before heard works of art.  This would be the ticket that lead him to fulfill his dream of creating a legacy of music that could be recognized by many.

Jason and fellow classmate, Dave Peters, attained an Associates of Science Degree in Recording Arts and headed back to Texas. With a plan to collaborate their business savvy nature and musical talents, they created a partnership where they successfully opened their own recording studio. With Dallas being the fourth ranked market for entertainment in the U.S., they decided this would be the place to start. Here they interned and worked at a number of local studios to gain more knowledge into how a studio was ran and built up the collection of equipment they needed to start their own studio. During this time they networked with local recording artists and worked on major projects for companies such as HD Net, Universal Records, and The Dallas Mavericks and many more.

Today Jason is now well on his way to achieving his goals and dreams. He and his partner own and operate a studio in dallas that is is complete with with some of todays most state of the art equipment. They have been the production behind a variety of successful projects and have even worked on a number of songs that made into the top forty charts. Jason is now able to and is currently working on his own music on a professional level. He plans to have an album, a solo fusion rock project, done by the beginning of 2011 and is also networking with other artists on a few other up and coming projects.
